In order to create this collection, I had to learn how to navigate numerous library/book databases in order to learn how to find the subject of my choice as well as other related results that would appear. To get a head start, I combed through the NCWiseOwl website for sources that would feature what I wanted. This is decided based on the short blurb describing what the website specialized in. For example, some databases exclusively focused on sciences such as chemistry and biology, meaning that the only results one would get from searching through the website would be those relating to the sciences. As such, using clicking on the "themes" and "subject" buttons on the scrollbar or to the side of the website would allow me to see all of the various subjects the database had to offer. The only thing left to do was to comb through and find the "mythology" subject within each one. To find Greek mythology books, I learned to use the Destiny Discover website as well as the circulation tab from the DSA library website. Using quotations aided me by narrowing my search results to be more precise. Such skills can be applied to in future scenarios where I am instructed to write a research essay in which using quotations when searching would help me pull from relevant sources.

To create this collection, I followed the same procedures as I did with the Greek Gods of Legend collection. I combed through several databases, but relied more on NCWiseOwl to provide me with more credible databases. This was because the databases listed on NCWiseOwl were evidently more catered to nonfiction literature as the settings and options visible on the databases let me choose the topic/subject in which fictional works were not listed. Finding books was easy as I also used the Destiny Discover website and chose the "Play" subject. I had also seen numerous plays in the LMC on multiple occasions, so I could use the Destiny Discover to double check whether the book was indeed a type of play or not. When using databases to help me find credible sources for an office job, I can use the sliders and tick various option boxes as I now understand how they affect the quantity, range of content, and type of source from the database.

Creating this bookmark required nothing more than a template in Google Drawings. I had to thicken the bookmark line edges and gave it a red background because it not only matched the red cover of the book, but also looked more official as though it resembled a red carpet. This connotation would prove appropriate as Simon vs. The Homo Sapien's Agenda had earned many literature awards and prizes. I made the speech bubble yellow to capture the attention of the viewer. A simple project to be sure, but it was beneficial as I was able to gauge how well I could create a piece of art with a simple vector program which is a skill I can use in the future if I must resort to using an alternative program for digital media creation.

To create my book trailer, I downloaded images and videos from stock image sites such as Pixabay and Pexels and edited them together with Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 by adding text, transitions, and color filters. Finding appropriate images and videos was the most arduous task as I aimed to included videos that had similar lighting to one another so I wouldn't have to color correct too much, and I wanted the clips to be filmed in a location resembling that of a high school which was harder than anticipated. I used my prior knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro from Mr. Bourgeois's SciViz class to create the trailer so this was a test of how well I could put together a video using my own intuition, which will benefit me in the future by broadening my capabilities and ability to professionally edit projects for others.
